Day 2

11:00AM : Baybay to Hindang

12:00PM : Hindang Cave and Wild Monkeys

2:00PM : Hindang to Matalom

3:00PM : Lunch at Kan-anan sa Superball

5:30PM : Matalom to Maasin

6:00PM : Maasin City

6:30PM : Monte Cueva

7:00PM : Maasin to Bato

7:45PM: Bato to Baybay

9:45PM : Baybay/Hotel

 

 

Attractions:

 

Cuatro Islas

Cuatro Islas is a group of islands that belongs to the municipalities of Inopacan and Hindang. This group of islands is composed of Apid, Digyo (pronounced as Digjo), Mahaba, and Himokilan. It is a 45 minute boat ride from the town of Inopacan, Leyte. You can charter a boat at the back of the new municipal hall of Inopacan.

 

Canigao Island

Canigao Island can be reached via large outrigger passenger boat in Matalom.

 

VSU

A premier university located in the city of Baybay, Leyte. One of the leading universities in Southeast Asia for research in agriculture. The only university in Visayas acknowledged by the Philippine Department of Tourism as a tourist destination.

 

Immaculate Concepcion Parish and Plaza

Gunhuban Falls

From Bato terminal, you can ride a motorcycle and tell the driver to take you to Gunhuban Falls in Brgy. Buli, Bato. Travel time is about 30-45 minutes.

 

Hindang Cave and Wild Monkeys

You can ride a van bound for Maasin or Bato and just tell the driver that you’re going to Hindang cave and wild monkeys and he’ll know where exactly to drop you off.

 

Kan-anan sa Super Ball

Kan-anan sa Super Ball is located in Tabang, Matalom, Leyte. It can be reached via van or multi-cab bound for Maasin and just tell the driver to drop you at the said restaurant.

 

 

How to get there?

 

By Air

If you’re coming from Manila, flights are available daily to Tacloban. From there, you can get a ride to your desired destinations.

 

By Sea

There are daily schedules from Cebu to Leyte. You may visit shipping lines website to check the schedule. Travel time is about 5 hours and about 2 hours for lite ferries.
