Top 10 Beaches in Cebu

Summer is here again!!! Yes, it is the time of the year that you pack your bags and get ready for a fun-filled summer escapade. Don’t fret, below is my list of top wonderful and affordable beaches in Cebu to help you plan your trip. This list is in no particular order and is according to my personal choice.

10. Tingku Beach, Alcoy

One of the most visited beaches in Cebu. Tingku Beach is only about 2-3 hours away from Cebu City. It can be reached via private vehicle or via bus from Cebu City South Bus Terminal (CSBT).

9. Basdaku Beach, Moalboal

I used to dislike this beach because it gets crowded everytime. However, the last time I went there during weekday, I found it very peaceful and not to mention it’s a good spot for camping, sunset, and star gazing. So yes, I would love to recommend spending some time during weekdays at Basdaku Beach.

8. Boho Rock Beach Resort, Camotes

Boho Rock Beach Resort does not only offer a beautiful view of Camotes ocean but also a fun-packed experience for adrenaline junkies. Satisfy yourself with a 10 ft. and 40 ft. high cliff jumping.

7. Bakhaw Beach, Camotes Island

The best kept secret of Camotes Island. Unlike Santiago Bay, Bakhaw Beach remains secluded and unspoiled by commercialization. It is located about 30-40 minutes away from Consuelo port.

6. Lambug Beach, Badian

If you find Basdaku Beach too crowded, Lambug Beach may be the next best option.  It also boasts a long stretch of white sand and offers a serene atmosphere. It might be perfect for backpacker’s budget.

5. Hermit’s Cove, Aloguinsan

Another summer paradise located in the South-West of Cebu province.

4. Malapascua Island

Malapascua Island is located in the northern tip of Cebu province. It is renowned for its white sand beaches. It has become known and has attracted a number of tourists for its rich marine sanctuary and the famous thresher sharks.

3. Sugar Beach, Bantayan Island

Sugar Beach Resort is a popular beach resort in Bantayan Island. The azure sea water and powdery white sand will certainly bring moments of happiness.

2. Kawit Beach, Pilar Camotes

Just another must-go beach that boasts white powdery sand and teal blue sea. It can be reached via boat from Tudela wharf.

1. Carnaza Island

Just when I thought that’s all about Cebu but there’s more. I give you…“Carnaza Island.” It’s my kind of place, a place far away from civilization. It offers breezy and relaxed atmosphere. There are no resorts in the island which means you need to camp out or find friendly locals that can host you for the night. It is approximately 2 hours away from Daanbantayan.
