On June 11, Saturday, Mactan’s Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts, together with all Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts around the world, participated in Global Wellness Day to promote the health and well-being of guests, colleagues, and communities with free yoga sessions and special spa offers. With the participation in Global Wellness Day and with the theme “One Day Can Change Your Life,” Shangri-la encourages everyone to find their #ParadiseWithin not only on the said event, but also throughout the year.
Mactan’s Shangri-la Resort and Spa invited Media Partners and Bloggers to experience the bliss of relaxation and wellness. It started with nearly an hour of yoga in the morning which enhances one’s endurance, strength, and flexibility.
It was then followed by a healthy and delightful breakfast at Ocean Pavilion. We felt so privileged to have been joined by the resort’s triathlete, Captain of the Philippines National Triathlon team, Mr. Nikko Huelgas and, Shangri-la’s Mactan Resort and Spa Manager, René Egle.
There is more to life indeed. A better way to boost healthy lifestyle and positive living. A perfect remedy of everyday stress from our fast-paced city life.
On a side note, Mactan’s Shangri-la Resort and Spa has officially launched its Marine Conservation Hub: Marine Conservation Kaakohan Center. It was an honor to join the marine conservation project committed to the conservation of the ocean and its marine life with, marine biologist, Lourdes Jimenez and, sports recreation manager, Barry Arriola.
As a travel and nature lover myself, it was a great opportunity for me to learn more about marine life from the professionals themselves. We had a fun and quality time snorkeling around the marine sanctuary to better understand the importance of the marine ecosystem and how we could help as humans by upholding one’s sense of responsibility towards nature.
